CLASS STRUCTURE and ATTIRE

Attention will be given to correct posture and dance form as well as the subtle directions given by the "Lead." To facilitate learning, the instructor will implement partner changes. Style and technique will be introduced and encouraged later in each session.

To ensure students have an opportunity to practice what they have learned with one another, social outings will be scheduled. Students will also be informed of Dubuque Ballroom Club dance evenings to further their skills.

Regular street clothes are permissible, but allow yourself room to move comfortably and freely.

Bring an extra pair of clean shoes to wear on the dance floor. Street shoes are not allowed on the studio dance floor.

Ladies, pull your hair back to allow ease of sight and to keep it from swinging into your face or your partner’s while moving.
